Tuesday, January 10, 2017, 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm: Now You’re Talking! The Technician Class License Course runs 10 consecutive Tuesday nights, starting January 10, right here at the Museum. It is sponsored by the Minnesota Youth Amateur Radio Council, the Boy Scouts, and the Pavek. This is a great way to get into ham radio. Cost is only $10 per student for the class and $15 for the test. You will also need to purchase and read a copy of the ARRL Ham Radio License Manual before our first session. It’s available at Radio City or Barnes and Noble. Email email@example.com for more information.

Saturday, January 14, 2:00 pm: The Minnesota DX Club meets here the second Saturday of every month from January through June. Stop in and share your stories of long-distance reception and learn about the latest receiving equipment.

Tuesday, January 17, 6:30 pm: The Audio Society of Minnesota’s annual Bring and Brag Music Fest. Members are encouraged to bring an interesting recording or two to listen to on our “Mostly Minnesota Made” system. They can accommodate many digital disc formats on our multi-format player and they also have an excellent turntable to play your (clean) vinyl records.
Wednesday, February 1: This is the deadline for nominations to the 2017 Minnesota Broadcasting Hall of Fame.
Sunday, February 19, 2017, 12:00 noon: The Annual Radio Workshop co-sponsored by the Northland Antique Radio Club. We’re still looking for people who want to do presentations; please contact Steve at the Pavek at 952/926-8198 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
