Tuesday, September 20, 6:30 pm: The Audio Society of Minnesota returns from their summer hiatus. Learn about the future of audio, the third Tuesday evening of the month, September through May.
For the Audio Society’s 2016-2017 season opener, their guests will be Thomas Sulentic and Ze'ev Schlik of Pure Audio Project, who will be discussing their line of advanced, non–traditional loudspeakers. Known for reasonably priced time aligned open baffles, they’ll be bringing the AMT version of their Trio15, featuring the giant, horn–load Beyma TPL150/H mid–tweeter, a 15” Eminence mid–woofer and 15” Eminence woofer

Tuesday, October 18, 12:00 noon: The Society of Broadcast Engineers (SBE) meets here - generally the third Tuesday afternoon, September - November, then January - May.

Saturday, October 29, 10:00 am: Magnets to Megahertz DC begins. This is a six-week class that teaches the fundamentals of electricity. Students build electromagnets, telegraph sets, and simple DC motors while gaining a working knowledge of Ohm’s Law and basic DC circuits. It’s designed for kids ages 9 - 11.

Saturday, November 12, 2:00 pm: The Minnesota DX Club meets here the second Saturday of every month from November through June. Stop in and share your stories of long distance reception and learn about the latest receiving equipment.

Saturday, January 14, 2017, 10:00 am: Magnets to Megahertz AC begins. This is a seven-week class that really ramps up the learning curve for electronics. Students learn about RF and amplifier circuits while building an AM receiver, transmitter, and push-pull MOSFET audio amplifier.
Price is still only $150 for this course.

Sunday, February 19, 2017, 12:00 noon: The Annual Radio Workshop. This year we’ll have a distortion analyzer shoot-out along with other demos of interest to radio collectors and hi-fi enthusiasts.

Sunday, April 9, 4:00 pm: (date tentative) The Norwegian Explorers present another Sherlock Holmes radio drama at the Museum. This one promises to be “a real corker!” Don’t miss it.

Friday and Saturday, May 19 - 20: RADIO DAZE 2017, sponsored by the Northland Antique Radio Club, starts right here with the Pavek Museum Garage Sale on Friday, May 19, at 10:00 am. RADIO DAZE 2017 continues Friday evening at the Comfort Inn Plymouth, 3000 Harbor Lane, Plymouth, Minn., 1-763-559-1222.
