Tuesday, November 15, 2016, 7:00 pm: Attendees of the ASM/MSP Audio Geeks joint meeting will get a rare opportunity to directly compare several DACs in true A/B/X listening tests. We will also have a MQA-certified DAC on hand, Mytek’s Brooklyn, for non-encoded/non-decoded and decoded listening tests with a variety of program material.
Saturday, January 14, 2017, 10:00 am: Magnets to Megahertz AC begins. This is a seven-week class that really ramps up the learning curve for electronics. Students learn about RF and amplifier circuits while building an AM receiver, transmitter, and push-pull MOSFET audio amplifier.
Sunday, February 19, 2017, 12:00 noon: The Annual Radio Workshop. This year we’ll have a distortion analyzer shoot-out along with other demos of interest to radio collectors and hi-fi enthusiasts.
